Milton H. Paul, 85, Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family at 6:45 am on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Antioch, TN and after graduation from Vanderbilt University was employed as a chemist at Eastman Chemical Kodak Co., retiring in 1994 after 37 years of service. He was a member of Colonial Heights Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Eleanor Paul of Nashville, TN, and brother, Gentry Paul of Ringold, GA.
Milton is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judith McHaney Paul; daughters, Laura and husband, Bill Kovacich of Columbia SC, and Lynn and husband, Wade Spradling of Doniphan, MO; son, Leon and wife Gloria Paul of Columbus, OH; grandsons, Cory, Austin and Colton Paul; brother, Charlie Paul of Antioch, TN; sister-in-law, Gayle Paul, Powder Springs, GA; sister-in-law, Lynda and husband, Bob Barbee of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, keen sense of humor and his love for bluegrass music.
The celebration of life and fellowship with friends will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Colonial Heights Christian Church.
Mr. Paul’s non-malignant brain tumor is currently “inoperable”. We hope with further research that word will change to “operable”!
