Minnie Cox

Minnie Cox, 93, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Brookhaven Manor. Born in Wise County, VA she had resided in Kingsport for most of her life. During Minnie's early years she was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Lewis Mason; husband, Willard Cox; parents, Henry and Julia Frazier; sister, Pearl Payne; and three brothers, Amos Frazier, Claude Frazier and Elmo Frazier.

Minnie is survived by her daughter, Janice Combs and husband, Scott of Jonesborough; two sons, Jerald Mason and wife, Nancy of San Antonio, TX, and Johnny Mason and wife, Joyce of Kingsport; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Clawson of Kingsport; brother, Fred Frazier of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27th from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Jake Riner officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, July 28th at 11:00 am at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
