Minnie "Jo" Duncan, 83, of Kingsport, passed away December 11, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.
Jo was born in Greene County October, 18, 1925. She retired from Eastman/Kodak where she was supervisor over marketing.
She and her husband were also very active in square dancing and traveled all over when dancing. They belonged to Eastman Square Dance Club for many years.
Mrs. Duncan was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church in Kingsport.
Jo will be missed by her friends and neighbors because she was always so friendly and upbeat.
Preceding her in death were her father and mother, E.W. and Mary Bright Johnson and brother-in-law, Everett Gollehon.
Surviving are her husband, Weldon Duncan of Kingsport; sister, Yolanda Gollehon of Kingsport and her dog Snowball of the home.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson. Funeral services will follow with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those attending should meet at the cemetery. Jo's friends and neighbors will serve as pallbearers.
