Mitchell "Badeye" Byington, 62, Fall Branch, died Thursday, May 12, 2016.

Born in the Mill Creek Community, he had lived in this area all of his life. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 37 years of service.

Mitch loved to go fishing, doing woodworking, playing his guitar, and turkey shooting. He was a member of the Leesburg Ruritan and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nell Byington; two sisters, Doris Jean and Elsie; and one granddaughter, Kiley Copas.

Mitch is survived by his wife of 17 years, Ora Byington; children, Marty Byington and fiance, Paula Greene, Jamie Byington and wife, Teresa, Misty Haney and husband, Chris, and Nicky Tittle and husband, Frankie; several grandchildren; siblings, Fred Byington and wife, Donna, Opal Williams and husband, Earl, Ruby Stewart and June Collins; several nieces and nephews; and his Boston Terrier, Chloe Elizabeth.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Chad Byington officiating.

The graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
