Mitzi K. Gott

Mitzi K. Gott, 60, Kingsport, TN, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family at Holston Manor.

Born in Kingsport on May 8, 1953, a daughter of Jo Wagner and the late J. D. Wagner, she resided in this area her entire life.

She was an active member of Sullivan Baptist Church and was a legal secretary, but had been employed at Dobyns-Bennett High School until 2010.

Mitzi will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mom, sister, and friend who loved cooking for her family and her church family.

In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her brother, Mike "Dirty Mike" Wagner, and an infant son.

Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Leroy Gott, of the home; son, Travis Gott and wife Lauren, Beaumont, TX; mother, Jo Wagner, Kingsport, TN; sister, Lisa Shipley and husband Alan, Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Kingsport. Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those attending committal services are asked to assemble at the cemetery at 9:45 a.m.

Honorary pallbearers will be the active Deacons of Sullivan Baptist Church.

Special thanks to the staff at Holston Manor and Amedysis Hospice for their care and compassion the last two months.
