Mollie Lynch Click, 90, was born in Kingsport, TN on January 9, 1923 to Robert Lee Lynch and Sarah Jane Keith Lynch. Mollie, God's servant, was called home on Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Luray, VA.
She was a remarkable woman who had many great talents and passions. Mollie had a love for sewing and was an accomplished seamstress. She also loved gardening, singing, reading and helping run a 100 acre farm with her dear husband. She loved traveling and had visited many countries abroad. Mollie graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and was a member of First Broad Street Baptist Church. She co-founded the Home Demonstration Club in Indian Springs in the early 60's.
Mollie also had a great love for her husband, James Edgar Click, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son, James (Jimmy) Click, son, Daniel Click, and sisters, Letitia Taylor and Emma Click.
She is survived by her son, John David Click and wife, Mary of Luray, VA; daughters, Reba Gaye Kilgore and husband, Gary of Kingsport, and Linda Jane Asbury of Kingsport; grandchildren, Sarah Kilgore, James Peter Click, Josh Caton and wife, Courtney; and great-grandson, Jordon James. She will be so dearly missed by many. Mollie always said, "God has been so good to me."
Funeral services will be held at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 with Pastor Melburn N. Farmer officiating. The graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to attend both.
A Memorial Service in the Luray, Virginia, area will be announced at a later date.
