In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Mrs. Willie Mae Deadrick, affectionately known as "Miss Mae", entered into Eternal rest on April 25, 2018 at The Wexford House in Kingsport, TN.

Mrs. Deadrick was born on July 26, 1924 to the late Goldman and Lula Goins Batmon in Thorn Hill, Tennessee. After marriage, she moved to Kingsport and resided there until her passing. She was employed by Hills Department Store/Ames Department Store for 30 years. Mrs. Deadrick was a member of Central Baptist Church. She had a captivating smile that will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by child son, Eddie Deadrick; daughter, Kimberly Deadrick; sisters, Dorothy (George) Brabson, Lena (Charles) Mitchell, Evelyn (June) Simpson, and Iva Jean (C.L.) Goins; and brother, Carl Batmon.

Mrs. Deadrick is survived by children, Glenda Tucker, Ronnie (Gail) Deadrick, Steve and Scotty Deadrick; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, C.L. Goins of Tazewell, TN ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 pm on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Central Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2020 Meadowview Parkway, #100, Kingsport, TN 37660.
