Murrel Robinette, 79, of Fall Branch, passed away (Monday, July 25, 2016) at Indian Path Medical Center.
Born in Hawkins County, she has lived in this area all of her life. She was a member of the Women Of The Moose where she served as president.
She retired from J.C. Penney after 11 years of service in the catalog department.
She loved to crochet and read. In her later years, she would read a book a day.
Murrel was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lillie Jenkins and an infant sister.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Don Robinette; son, Jeff Robinette and wife Carol; two step grandchildren, Justin Moody and Kasey Ferguson; brother Eckle Jenkins and wife Brenda.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7pm Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7pm with Pastor Jeff Strong officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Efford Barrett, Justin Moody, Deedie Barrett, James Stapleton, Jerry Hazelgrove and Harold Robinette. Wayne Carrico is an honorary pallbearer.
Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45am.
