Myrtle Ruth Barger, 92, Kingsport, passed away Saturday November 29, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Kyles Ford, TN, she had resided most of her life in Kingsport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eliza Davis; two brothers, Robert Davis and Broten Davis; five sisters, Mabel Surgenor, Elizabeth Testerman, Cleo Coleman, Nell Livesay, and Elsie Turner.
Surviving are her husband, Hugh Barger, Kingsport; godson, Frank Nichols and wife, Sharon, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be conducted Tuesday in the funeral chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John M. Irwin officiating. Burial will follow at Blountville Cemetery.
