Nancy Strong Boyer, 66, of Kingsport, TN died unexpectedly Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010; born in Payson, Utah on Oct. 6, 1943; raised in Springville, UT; married LeGrande Boyer, Oct. 3, 1963; attended Brigham Young University 1962-1964; graduated Cum-Laude from ETSU in 1984; lived in TN for 41 years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mormon Historical Association, Nauvoo Historical Society, Hancock Co. Illinois Historical Society; treasurer Sullivan County Historical and Genealogical Society and enjoyed doing family history. She deeply loved her family and friends. She passed on a legacy of selflessness, compassion and charity to her posterity.

Her father, Ernest Albert Strong, Jr., and brother, Don Robert Strong, preceded her in death.

Nancy is survived by her husband, LeGrande Boyer; five children and spouses, LeMoyne & Melia Ruth Boyer of Sugarland, TX, Leah & Mitchell Ellis Brannen, Jr. of Savannah, GA, Leland Floyd Boyer of Atlanta, GA, Lorin Jay & Enriqueta Boyer of San Antonio, TX, and Lynnae & Matthew Weller of Savannah, GA; and thirteen grandchildren, Quentin Lee Boyer, Richard Wesley Boyer, Marinda Mae Boyer, Andrew Bryce Boyer, Naomi Lynn Boyer, Jessica Leigh Brannen, Mitchell Alexander Brannen, Hunter Montessano Boyer, Caitlynn Jules Boyer, Ethan Grant Boyer, Evan LeGrande Boyer, Kylia Weller and Garren Matthew Weller. She is also survived by her mother, Harriett Miner Strong; five siblings and spouses, Suzanne Wiscombe, Mary Stewart, Kathryn and John Callister, Roslyn and Kenneth Averett, and Daryl Strong; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will accept visitors Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 4:00-7:45 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100 Cannongate Rd, Kingsport, TN. The funeral, officiated by Bishop David DeBry, will begin at 8:00 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be at Springville Evergreen Cemetery in Utah Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010.
