Nancy C. Carter

With bittersweet joy we announce the passing of Nancy C. (Tomlinson) Carter on March 30, 2015. She passed peacefully in her sleep at Brookhaven Manor nursing home and now is in the arms of Jesus, her Savior and Lord, and with her beloved family and friends.

Nancy was born in Rhoda, VA and grew up in Big Stone Gap before moving to Kingsport where she spent the majority of her life. She retired from Kingsport Eastman after working for 14 years and spent her later years taking care of and visiting family and friends in nursing homes and at their homes.

She was a wonderful and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister and Aunt.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Larry and wife Joan, of Kingsport, and Kevin in Hastings, FL. She has two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents and siblings all pre-deceased her.

In accordance with her wishes, there will not be a viewing or funeral. There will be a private burial for her in late May.
