Nancy B. Hughes

Nancy B. Hughes, 85, of Kingsport, was called home by Jesus, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Daughter of the late William Martin and Elizabeth McNutt Isom, Nancy was a charter member of Orebank Missionary Baptist Church. She held many jobs, but being a mom was her greatest title. She was an amazing cook and loved to bass fish. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 7 sisters and 1 brother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Jack Hughes, of the home; three daughters, Terresia Kaye Carter and husband Wayne of Church Hill, Jacque Leigh Jones and husband Rick of Kingsport, Melinda Marie Hughes of Kingsport; son, Jason Douglas Hughes and wife Sandra of Mt. Carmel; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends, Monday, 6-8:00pm at Orebank Missionary Baptist Church with services following at 8:00pm. Rev. David Smith will be officiating. A graveside service will be held Tuesday 1:00pm, at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be, Farrel Carr, Rusty Laney, Danny Odom, David Clark, Mark Lambert, and Steve Odom.
