Nancy Bishop Stapleton, 49, Kingsport, went to be with the precious Lord in heaven Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Bristol Regional Medical Center after an unexpected illness.
Nancy was of the Baptist faith. She loved to play Bingo and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, April Stapleton; parents, Daniel and Gladys Bishop; sister, Betty Wilczeski; brother, Alfred Bishop; and a special niece, Teresa Davis.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Sexton and fiancé Lee Almaguer of Kingsport; two sons, Robert ?Bobby? Stapleton and wife, Nickie of Church Hill, William ?Danny? Stapleton and girlfriend, Jennifer Thompson of Kingsport; father of her children, Robert Stapleton and step-mom, Brenda Quillen of Kingsport; three sisters, Judy Long, Brenda Robinette, and Julia ?Susie? Ward; two brothers, Billy Bishop and Paul Bishop, both of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Courtney and Cody Stapleton, Scott Harkleroad, Chelsea Kinil, and Triston Sexton; two step-grandchildren, Brianna and Jasmine Almaguer; several nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Ollie Miller.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport and any time at the home of her daughter, Karen Sexton, 1253 Middlebrook Drive, Kingsport.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Preacher Pete Barbour and Rev. Gary Davis officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Derrick, Glenn Stapleton, James Stapleton, Dustin Madden, Brandon Sowers, Jesse Joseph, Jake Spitzer, and Justin Dykes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Necessary and Kermit Amyx.
The family wants to give a special thanks to all of the staff at Bristol Regional Medical Center who had a hand in taking care of our mother. ?You were really wonderful with her and the family. Thanks for everything!?
