Nancy Stevens

Nancy Stevens, 78, of Fall Branch, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Indian Path Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, having graduated from Fall Branch High School, Carson-Newman College, and East Tennessee State University. Nancy had retired from Washington County School Systems, where she had worked as a school guidance counselor for over 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fall Branch and also attended Oak Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Buck" Stevens; and parents, Lyman and Eula Brown.

Nancy is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Russell; one brother, David Russell Brown; special aunt, Delores Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Vic Wallace officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at White Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
