Nancy Steele Ward
Nancy Steele Ward, of Surgoinsville, Tennessee, passed away just before dawn on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. She was happily retired, a devoted wife, a proud and caring mother and a doting grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, David and her parents, Pete and Nancy Baker of Mooresville, North Carolina.
Nancy leaves behind her loving husband and best friend, Smokie; children, Cleveland, Andy, Wendy and Buck; grandchildren, Kiale, Abagail, Chole, Emma, Jordan and Michael; also included are her pet cows, donkeys, chickens, cats, a goat named Daisy and her devoted companions, Katie and Mac, and special friends, Ronnie and Kim New. She will be greatly missed by many.
Private memorial services are to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Hawkins County Animal Shelter, 5180 Highway 11W, Rogersville, TN 37857, 423-272-6538.
