Naomi ("Nay" as she was known to her husband, siblings and friends) was escorted by God's Angels as she was received into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the age of 92 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Depew loved singing and listening to the "old gospel hymns." She was a long-time member of Horse Creek Freewill Baptist Church where she served for many years as Secretary/Treasurer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bazil Depew and parents, Herman C. and Ida Bowser; sisters, Leta Chase, Buena Fleenor and Burlie Hammonds.
Naomi is survived by her brother, H.C. Bowser of Kingsport; daughters, Phyllis Ann Livesay and Pamela Jean Galloway, both of Kingsport; and grandson, Travis Alan Livesay of Kingsport.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Anthony Gragg officiating. Music will be provided by Damon Depew.
The graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at East Tennessee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be H.C. Bowser, Mike Depew, Chris Depew, Richard Depew, Tom Galloway and Cameron Morelock.
The family would like to thank all of the Nurses and Hospice Nurses at Wilcox Hall for their kind, loving and passionate care that was given to their precious mother.
