On Friday morning, November 23, 2007, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Nathan Ogan, 21, took his first steps as he walked into Heaven to meet the ?Great? Physician.

Nathan was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County, Tennessee, and attended Beulah Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Lola Smith; and a special uncle, Conley Smith.

Surviving are his parents, Doug and Karen Ogan of Kingsport; a sister, Hope Herring and husband, James, of Kingsport; a sister, Tracy Ogan of Watauga; paternal grandparents, J. T. and Ruth Ogan of Blountville; two nieces, Shian and Alyssa Herring of Kingsport. Also surviving are loving aunts and uncles, Damon and Wanda Smith of Texas; Lenore Crabtree of Wise, VA; Adine and Nadine Smith of Arlington, VA; Mack and Barbra Lee Smith of Richmond, VA; Peggy and Paul StClair of Herdon, VA; Jenny and Ron McGinnis of China Grove, NC; Sue and Jack Penley of Bluff City; Pauline and John Anderson of Piney Flats, TN; Gay and Jack Gray of Orlando, FL; Albert Smith of Blountville, TN; Paul W. and Joy Smith of PA; Rod Ogan of Blountville, TN; Dina and Mike Sullivan, Kingsport, TN; Vic and Leta Ogan of Blountville, TN; and Richard and Melony Ogan of Blountville, TN; and several cousins, great-aunts, and great-uncles.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to HMG Pediatric group for their outstanding service and care, Holston Valley Medical Center?s Pediatric unit for the years of service and love, and all the home health care providers and nurses who have cared for Nathan over the years.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Beulah Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the church with Rev. Al South officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Travis Puckett, Barry King, Bradley Hale, David Killebrew, Vic Ogan, Richard Ogan, and Rod Ogan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 491 Beulah Church Road, Kingsport, TN 37663.
