Nathaniel Carr

Nathaniel Carr, 25, of Kingsport passed away Friday, February 7, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Kingsport and had resided in both Sullivan and Greene counties. He was of the Baptist faith. Nathaniel enjoyed hunting and four wheelers. He had a great love for animals. He had worked as a cook and had a great interest in the culinary arts.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty Jo Light; his maternal grandfather, Carl Crawford; and his paternal grandfather, Johnny Carr.

Nathaniel is survived by his mother, Tammy Russell and husband, Rick, Greeneville; father, Steve Carr, Kingsport; two sisters, Hannah Carr, Kingsport, and Brandi Turner and husband, Brian, Greeneville; paternal grandmother, Hazel Carr, Kingsport; niece, Taylor Jo Madden; four nephews, Shawn Madden, Cori Seckler, Corbian Seckler, and Brylon Turner; aunts and uncles, Earney Crawford and wife, Anna, Fall Branch, Janet Reynolds and husband, Mike, Chuckey, Teressa Crawford and partner, Pam Long, Rogersville, Beckie McCracken and husband, Mickey, Kingsport, Kay Charlton and husband, Gary, Kingsport, Jerry Carr and wife, Pam, Nashville, Billy Russell and wife, Diane, Greeneville; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Mullins officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Morrison Cemetery in Rogersville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
