Nellie Armstrong of the Pine Grove Community, entered into that eternal home Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the age of 89.
She was a member of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church and attended as long as her health permitted.
Nellie had retired from Tennessee Eastman Company having worked in the A.Y. Division. After retirement she worked as a volunteer for 15 years for the Takoma Hospital Auxiliary. Nellie enjoyed her needlework, reading, and working in flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Beryl Armstrong; two sisters, Dolores Doty and Fawn Marion; one brother, Charles Armstrong; and one nephew, Fred Joyner.
Surviving are her sister, Ruth Joyner; nieces, Teresa Hubble and Sandra Bledsoe; nephews, Roger Armstrong, Al Doty, Charles Doty, and Tim Doty; great-nieces, Tonya Kincer, Jessica Hubble, and Ann Smith; great-nephews, Benjamin Hubble, Chad Doty, Josh Doty, Jason Doty, and Jonathan Doty; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

Calling hours are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch.
The body will be taken to Bethany Freewill Baptist Church one hour prior to service. Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Donnie Bailey officiating.
Burial will follow at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
