Nelson Clay Brown
Nelson C. Brown, 73, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon November 8, 2008 at Indian Path Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was born in Kingsport where he had resided most of his life. Nelson was the owner of Brown Electric and was a member of Cherokee Rod and Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luna C. Brown.
Surviving are his daughter, Rebecca Donaldson and husband, Richard, Kingsport; son, Christopher Brown and wife, Trish Dallas, TX; grandson, Jeremiah Goins and wife, Julia; mother, Agnes Brown, Kingsport; sister, Geneva Spaulding of FL; special friends, Ricky Trent, Jeff Jenkins, Jon, Jeremy, and Kaethe Williams; niece, Teresa; and three nephews, Fred, Ed, and Chip Spaulding.
A visitation service will be held at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport on Tuesday November 11, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Cross Anchor Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Baileyton, TN, with Pastor David Salley officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Trent, Jeff Jenkins, Jon Williams, Jeremy Williams, Jason Williams, and Mike Williams.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gravelly Baptist Church, c/o Building Fund, 500 Gravely Road, Kingsport, TN 37660.
