Nicholas "Nick" Woodard Sharp

Nicholas "Nick" Woodard Sharp, 36, passed away peacefully, December 8, 2014, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Born in Jackson, TN, he is the son of Nelson W. and Joyce Woodard Sharp. He last worked at Holston Glass and was an avid outdoorsman and keen marksman. Nick was a gifted artist and enjoyed drawing and painting. He was best known and most loved by friends and family for his generous heart.

Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Emmett Buford Woodard and Johnnie Elizabeth Humphrey; paternal grandparents, Paul H. and Norma E. Sharp; and a special uncle, aunt, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Jessica Sharp Fox and husband, Sean, Jonesborough; one nephew, Carter Paul Fox; one niece, Claire Elizabeth Fox; and many special uncles, aunts, and cousins.

The family would like to extend special thanks to ETSU Physicians and the compassionate nursing staff at Wellmont Hospice, and WHVMC.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday at Young Funeral Home in Linden, TN. The memorial service will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Jason Salyer officiating.

The graveside service will follow at Kirk Cemetery in Linden, TN.
