Nola Carroll Carmack passed away in Winter Park, Florida, on Sunday, November 2, 2014.
She worked at Kingsport Press from graduation until she retired. After retirement she traveled and worked at Katty's Korner in downtown Kingsport. She continued her service at First Christian Church through the Bereavement Committee and the Food Pantry. She loved her family, friends, and her church.
Nola is survived by her husband, Walter Carmack; daughter, Nancy Wampler (Barry); step-daughters, Anita Sadler, Patricia Vicknair, and Elaine Wright; and numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by J.W. Carroll; Richard Piper; Sam and Rhoda Scism; Virginia Nunley; and Ray Carmack.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Chapel, Kingsport. The service will follow at 2 pm with Phip Sams, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
