Norma Jean Frazier, 82, went to meet the Lord Thursday, November 21st at Wexford House. She was a native of Scott County but resided most of her life in Kingsport. She was a hairdresser for many years. Norma Jean never knew a stranger and she was the happiest when cooking for someone. And when you came to her table you had better be hungry because she cooked enough for an army. She was a loving sister and aunt.
Norma Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Frazier, and her parents, Joseph Edward and Elsie Cara (Wolfe) Hammonds.
She is survived by one sister, Rose Mayo; three nieces, Theresa Mayo, Rhonda Tiller and husband, Mike, and Cara Fink and husband, Roger; four great-nieces, Danielle Mayo, Courtney Fink, Megan Tiller and Taylor Fink; great nephew, TJ Fink; one great-great-niece, Kelsie Profitt; and one great-great-nephew, Caleb Mayo.
We would like to say thank you to two of Norma Jean's favorite nurses from Wexford House, Marsha Way and Melinda Wells and a special thank you to Annie Monroe.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 with Pastor Keith Smith officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday at 2:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
