Norman H. Lady

Norman H. Lady, 71, Fall Branch, was called to his heavenly home Thursday afternoon following an extended illness. He was born in Greeneville and had resided in the area his entire life. Norman was a former employee of Giant Food Market and was a former manager of Colonial Heights Hardware where he continued to work part time. He was an active member of Pactolus United Methodist Church. He loved to work outdoors and was an excellent handyman.

He was preceded in death by his father, Morgan Lady.

Norman is survived by his wife, Mary Lady of the home; daughter, Mrs. Kim Moore and husband, Steve, and son, Greg Lady and wife, Denise; two grandchildren, Whitney Breedlove, Madelyn Lady; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Maggie Ann Breedlove; mother, Mrs. Vergie Lady; and two sisters, Janice Brooks and husband, John, and Dian Shaw and husband, Doug.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes Fall Branch Chapel. The service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Pederson officiating.

Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at East Tennessee Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pactolus United Methodist Church, 170 Pactolus Road, Kingsport, TN 37663, or to the animal shelter of donor's choice.
