Norman Earl Vaughn

Norman Earl Vaughn, 70, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born in Hancock County and resided in Kingsport. Norman was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He worked at Eastman Chemical Company in the CE Division as a supervisor for 30 years. He was a member of Masons and Shriners of Kingsport.

Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and Christian. He touched many lives, and will live in our hearts forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Georgia Vaughn, and his sister, Mavis Coffey.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Margaret Cox Vaughn; three sons, Ricky Vaughn and wife, Becky, Keith Vaughn and wife, Sherielyn, and Jeff Vaughn and wife, Jody; two daughters, Sherry Shipley and husband, Ken, Kristi Vaughn, and adopted children Robie and Joy Henderson, all of Kingsport; thirteen grandchildren, Corey, Roger, Brandi, Chelsea, Katie, Cody, Dylan, Natalie, Luke, Chase, Zach, Kendra, and Lindsey; one great-grandchild, Marshall; two brothers, David Vaughn, of Texas, and Bobby Vaughn, of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 7:00, with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh, Rev. Robert Coffey, and Rev. Robert Cole officiating. Masonic rites will be conducted by Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688.

Graveside services will be held at Logan's Chapel at noon on Wednesday. Serving as pallbearers will be Robie Henderson, Gary Widener, Leon Gray, Roy Sells, Rick Frazier, and Mark Roberts. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Dupuis and Brad Conkin.
