Norman Williams

Norman Williams, 89, Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at his home. Born in Johnson City, he has resided most of his life in Sullivan County. Norman was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had retired from Sears. He was a long time member of Indian Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eva Williams, and one brother, Bobby Williams.

Norman is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean Williams; one daughter, Becky Hubble and husband, Gary; four sons, David Williams and wife, Lea, Ken Williams and wife, Connie, John Williams, Eugene Williams and wife, Trish; ten grandchildren, Chad Williams and wife, Jenn, Tony Williams and wife, Jamie, Christy Beane and husband, Brian, Steve Williams and wife, Kayla, Hailey Mullins and husband, Brandon, Micah Williams, Hannah Hansen and husband, Richard, Judah Williams, Jeremy Williams and wife, Laura, and Carly Williams; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Gandy; two brothers, Dick Williams and Ron Williams and wife, Ellie; and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Neglia and Suncrest Hospice and especially to his nurse, Jackie for the love and care that was given to Norman.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Chad Williams officiating.

The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park with military graveside rites conducted by the American Legion 3/265. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Indian Springs Baptist Church, Building Fund, 325 Hill Road, Kingsport, TN 37664, or to Heifer International, P.O. 8058, Little Rock, AR 72203.
