Oma Marie Miller, 76, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2008 after a lengthy illness.
She had been a resident of Kingsport most of her life and worked as a nurse for Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for ten years.
Mrs. Miller was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was loved by all who knew her. She was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Virgil and Bertha Ramey; first husband, Claude Allen Ketron; daughter, Nancy Ketron; second husband, James Perry Miller; and brother, Roy Ramey.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Dykes and husband John, Judy Lambert and husband John, all of Kingsport; one son, John Ketron of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Gary, Becky, Michael, Totsie, and Stephanie; twelve great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary, Sue, and Shirley; and three brothers, Dewey, George, and Marion, all of Kingsport.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport or any time at the home of a daughter, Brenda Dykes, 2548 Ft. Henry Drive, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Hal Calhoun officiating.
Burial will follow at Winegar Cemetery in Surgoinsville, TN.
Pallbearers will be John Lambert, James Lawson, Bobby Miller, Gary Jordan, Roy Ramey, and Ronald Ramey.
