Oneda Foster Martin, 95, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Saturday April 9, 2011 at Wexford House.
She was born at Clear Branch near Erwin, TN , Oct. 10, 1915 to Zephorah and Wesley Guinn. She had resided in Kingsport for the past 61 years. Mrs. Martin was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church and enjoyed working in her garden.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Clyde Foster, second husband, Luke Martin, Sr; daughter, Irene Austin; granddaughter, Beth Austin; three sisters and three brothers
Surviving are one daughter, Imogene Taylor, Blountville; two sons, Rev. Don Foster and wife Sona, Doug Foster and wife Freddie both of Kingsport; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; sister, Jessee Chandler, Johnson City; step children, Stanley Martin, Knoxville, Luke Martin, Jr, Bristol, Pauline Martin and Mary Kate Cassell, both of Kingsport
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday at Sunnyside Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Roy Graves officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm Wednesday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Grandsons and family will serve as pallbearers.
