Onnie Conkin, 87, Kingsport, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014. He worked for Vulcan Industries for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his son, O. Gary Conkin, parents, Noah and Martha Conkin; 3 brothers and 7 sisters.
Onnie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bertha Mae Goad Conkin, grandson, Christopher Grant Conkin, several nieces and one nephew.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday at 2:00 pm at Mowell Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Benton and Pastor Greg Street officiating.
