Opal W. Robertson

Opal W. Robertson, 96, of the Beulah Community, died Wednesday night, September 5, 2018, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Persia, TN and had resided in Beulah since 1952. Opal retired from Eastman Kodak in the mid 1980's after 42 years of service in the yarn plant. She was a Baptist, enjoyed gardening, coloring and was an avid Coca-Cola drinker.

She was preceded in death by her son, Donald B. Robertson, Jr; grandson, Cliff Robertson; sisters, Mary Blanche Archer, Ruby W. Davis and Sue W. Holt; and brothers, Robert B. Webster, Theo Webster, William Webster and Dickie Webster.

Opal is survived by her granddaughter, Lori Gouge of Fall Branch; grandson, Donald Robertson of Greeneville; 5 great-grandchildren, Madi, Ashlyn, Braydon, D.J. and Jared; great-great-granddaughter, Luna; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm with Rev. Al South officiating. Burial will follow in East Tennessee Cemetery. Family and friends serve as pallbearers.
