Ora Ann Buckles

Ora Ann Buckles, 86, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, Saturday evening, February 26, 2011 at Indian Path Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry A. and Bertha Litton Buckles, one sister, Annetta Jones, one brother, Hershel Buckles, and one nephew, Myron G. Lane.

Ann was a native of Lebanon, VA where she graduated from Lebanon High School. She retired from the Mead Corporation in Kingsport. Ann was a very kind, gentle and jovial lady who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a caregiver for a special niece, Robyn Jones, for the past 26 years.

Survivors include four sisters, Alberta Buckles of Mt. Carmel, Sarah Lane of Church Hill, Nancy Dotson and husband Lowell of Bluff City, and Nadine Pearman of Bristol, TN; two brothers, Henry Carl Buckles and wife Clara of Cleveland, VA and Oakley Buckles of Bristol, TN; one brother-in-law, Robert Jones of Blountville, TN and one sister-in-law, Peggy Buckles of Bristol, TN; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Mildred Dennison, Kingsport.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services to be held at 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Rev. Dean Sturgill will officiate.

Graveside service will follow at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mike Buckles, Ronald Buckles, Charles Pearman, Tony Lane, Lowell Dotson, Jr. and Tracy Marshall.
