Orbin Wade Wampler, Jr.

Orbin Wade Wampler, Jr., 68, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in El Paso, TX, the eldest child of the late Orbin Wampler, Sr., and Mary J. Wampler. Wade was a born again Christian and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a loving son, husband, brother, and son-in-law to the late Palmer and Laura Minor of Norton. Wade was a partner in OEC Systems in Kingsport for the last 45 years. Many of his clients became close friends. He enjoyed life, including playing the guitar, square dancing, and science fiction.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Pamela Minor-Wampler; brother, Andrew Wampler; sisters, Eppie Fudge, Jackie Taylor, and Lorraine Handley; several nieces and nephews; and his precious Bella, whom he adored and who adored him.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ryan Shaffer officiating.

Burial will follow at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, VA.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
