Palmer Raymond "Ray" Johnson
Palmer Raymond "Ray" Johnson, 71, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at his home following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and had retired from Tennessee Eastman.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Tony Wayne Johnson, parents, Floyd and Mary Johnson, three brothers and one sister.
Ray is survived by his wife, Nancy Johnson of Kingsport; two sons, Anthony Ray Johnson and Harold Edward Carringer, both of Kingsport; grandson, Hunter Ray Johnson; four sisters-in-law, Jackie Gioia and husband, Bill of Florida, Monti Federoff and husband, John of California, Rebecca Jayne Nave of Elizabethton and Rebecca Jane Ladd of California; brother-in-law, Michael Ladd and wife, Sandy of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Rev. David Wadsworth officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Rd., Ste 102, Johnson City, TN 37601.
