Pamela Bishop Lane

Pamela Bishop Lane, 60, of Blountville, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015, after almost twelve years of battling Multiple Myeloma.

Born on May 1, 1954 in Kingsport, TN, she moved to Blountville in 1961 where she met her husband Terry. Pam worked at Raytheon and Eastman Chemical Company, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business from Northeast State Community College. Pam was an active member of Blountville United Methodist Church and volunteered her time to various causes including The Blankie Project. Pam's greatest joys in life included Bible study, sunny days by her pool and plants, and time with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father Oscar Bishop.

Along with Terry, Pam is survived by her children, Miles, wife Renee, and Mark, wife Samantha; grandchildren, Elliott and Mia Lane; mother Marie Bishop; sisters, Patricia Davis and Janice Fields; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Blountville United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 4 pm with Rev. Susan Arnold officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday, February 23, 2015, at East Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Blountville United Methodist Church, 3390 Highway 126, Blountville, TN 37617, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Tennessee Chapter, 404 BNA Drive, Suite 102, Nashville, TN 37217.
