Patricia (Patsy) Jane Glass Chastain

Patricia (Patsy) Jane Glass Chastain passed away at age 90 on Friday, August 3, 2018. She was born in New Orleans, LA and spent most of her life in Kingsport, TN. She was retired from the TVA at Phipps Bend and worked several years at H R Block. She loved playing bridge with her friends and was a member of the garden club. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed volunteering as she was able.

Patsy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Paul Chastain; her parents, Delia Moran Glass and Dr. Sydney H. Glass; 3 sisters, Annie Woltman, Cissie Bragg, and Susan Fitzhugh.

Patsy is survived by 3 daughters, Janice Cloud (Larry) of Kingsport, TN, Linda Droke (Steve) of Kingsport, TN and Susan Pence of San Ramon, CA; 1 step-son Spence Oliver (Judy) of Franklin, TN; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; 2 sisters, Helen Conley (Buddy) of Murfreesboro and Mary Dudley Houk (Larry) of Memphis, TN; 2 brothers, Robert Glass (Mary Jane) of Washington, DC and Tom Glass of Las Vegas, NV.

A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, August 6th at 1:45 at the VA Mountain Home with Jack Weikel officiating. Music is provided by Rob Meier. If you wish to attend, enter VA on ETSU side from State of Franklin, turn left up the hill and follow the row of flags until you see the visitor center. We will gather starting at 1:30.
