Patricia Ann "Nano" Poole

Patricia Ann "Nano" Poole, 82, of Kingsport, passed away Friday December 17, 2010 at Bristol Hospice House.

She was born in Toledo, Ohio and has resided in Kingsport since 1953. Mrs. Poole graduated from Bowling Green State University and had served in the U.S. Army as a physical therapist during the Korean Conflict. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Poole had retired from Holston Valley Community Hospital as Director of the Physical Therapy Department.

Nano was blessed by Tracey's excellent and loving care during her final years and we will be forever grateful.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Larry Poole and son, James Larry Poole II.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Winn Poole and husband, James Tommy Hearn, Lexington, KY, Tracey Ann Poole, Kpt, and daughter-in-law, Angela Haws Poole, Lexington, KY; three grandchildren, James Larry Poole III, John Lyle Poole and Joshua Patrick Smith; three great grandchildren, Jacob Lyle Poole, James Liam Poole and Hannah Katherine Gonce; also, loving pet "Cocoa"; four nieces, Dede Winn Pederson and husband Josh Huston, Kathy Robinson and husband Peter, Bobbie Nelson and husband Steven and Deb Lawrence and husband Burt; nephew, John W. "Jay" Winn.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 2pm Thursday December 23, 2010 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2pm with The Rev. Edward James Mills III officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James Larry Poole III, John Lyle Poole, Joshua Patrick Smith and James Tommy Hearn
