Patricia Y ?Pat? Thornburg, 69, of Fall Branch, passed away Sunday morning, March 18, 2007, following an extended illness.
She was born in Greeneville, Tennessee, but had resided in Fall Branch most of her life. Pat was a graduate of Greeneville High School and was a U. S. Postal carrier for 35 years delivering mail in the Fall Branch area. She was a member of Bethany Freewill Baptist Church. Patricia enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers. She was also an avid Lady Vols fan as well as a bowler.
Her parents, Elmer and Kathleen Drain; and two sisters, Betty Gray and Joann Drain, preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Robert D. ?Robbie? Thornburg, Richard L. ?Ricky? Thornburg, and Mark A. Thornburg; five grandchildren, Kelly Yvonne Harshbarger and boyfriend, Johnny Farmer, Melony April Cox and husband, Jeremy, Brittni Thornburg, Kim Herem, and Dakota Storm Thornburg; several great-grandchildren; her loving companions, Chelsea and Princess; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Victor Wallace and Rev. Anthony Wilson officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Hills United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Looney, Elmer Higgins, Alton McClain, Colin Smith, Ronnie Larkins, and Randall Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Spivey and her bowling friends.
