They did not come any better than Patrick McDonald. Knowing him since the three year old class at Trinity Preschool was one of the greatest gifts of friendship I have ever been given. His mother Kathy is wonderful in every single way. Her love for the Lord, her family and others was always illustrated through Patrick throughout the years. Patrick was genuine, tender, kindhearted, real and was not afraid to question things and I loved all these things about him. Patrick had a strong foundation of faith, and was the hands and feet of Christ through his chosen profession. He was a hero every day in my book. He was brave, smart, and often a source of strength for others. He always had an encouraging word to say, and it did not matter if years had gone by. Every time he engaged you it was like you just saw him yesterday. My heart was sadden to hear he was no longer with us in the physical but I know in my heart Patrick McDonald's spirit is soaring with the Lord and that gives me hope. Hope that he is now with loved ones who have gone before cheering the rest of us on to continue the race God has set before us. All my love, thoughts and prayers to the family.
