Patrticia Ellen MacNamara Koopman

Patricia Ellen MacNamara Koopman, 82, of Limestone, died on Sunday, December 6, 2009. The daughter of the late Thomas MacNamara and Ellen Samuelson MacNamara, she was a devoted mother and wife. Born on September 7, 1927, in Elizabeth, NJ, Mrs. Koopman was a graduate of Benedictine Academy in New Jersey and the Rutgers Business College.

Mrs. Koopman was married to the late James Backus Koopman on May 25, 1951. An artist who exhibited her works in Mexico, Mrs. Koopman's profession was that of devoted mother. She was a longtime resident of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Mexico, and Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Koopman was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Ellen Breinig.

She is survived by her children, Louise Ann Goeser, James Backus Koopman, Rosemary Patricia Moody, Michael Gary Koopman, and Peter Jacob Koopman; grandchildren, Tricia Michele Moody, Elizabeth Violet Koopman, Katie Rose Koopman, David Breinig, Kevin Breinig, Kathleen Cousins, Jennifer Mendola, Elizabeth Womack, Caroline Dahlquist, and Jeremy Moody; great-grandchildren, Olivia Moody, Trevor Mendola, Cason Womack, Abigail Cousins, Natalie Cousins, Austin Breinig, Rory Breinig, Babe Breinig, and Braxton Moody; brother, MacNamara; sister, Anne Costa, in-laws, David Goeser, Patricia Koopman, and Richelle Koopman; and special companion, Bertha Solache.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with Father Mike Nolan officiating.
