Patsy Bowles Lee, 90, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2010.
She was born in Scott County, Virginia, on July 22, 1919, but lived in Kingsport most of her life. She was a 1936 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School, and a lifelong member of First Christian Church. For several years she worked at both Miller's Department Store and King's Department Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. "Bob" Lee; her parents, John B. Bowles and Maude McCrary Bowles; and her brother, McCrary "Mac" Bowles.
She is survived by her two children, Rebecca Lee Smith and John Alvin Lee; her son-in-law, William B. Smith; and her two grandsons, Jared W. Smith and Bryan W. Smith.
The family will receive friends at First Christian Church on Monday, March 8, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., with Phillip "Phip" Sams, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Christian Church of Kingsport, 106 East Charlemont Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37660.
