Patsy Crawford Mullenix

Patsy Crawford Mullenix, 65, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 3, 2014, at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born in Kingsport on July 13, 1948, a daughter of the late Clifford and Goldie Crawford, she has resided in this area her entire life.

Patsy was a member of Solomon's Temple. She retired from Asbury Center in 1997 following 15 years of service as supervisor in the Dietary Dept. Mrs. Mullenix will be remembered as a loving and caring mom, momaw, maam, sister and friend who was a mom to everyone; she will be greatly missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the minister, singers, friends and everyone who helped in her care and services.

In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Crawford; her second husband, Millard "Jug" Mullenix; sons, Jimmy, Kenny, and Jessee; sister, Dorothy Shipley; brother, C.R. Crawford; and son-in-law, Phillip Johnson.

Patsy is survived by her daughters, Amy Collins and boyfriend, William Dove, and Penny Johnson; grandchildren, Tiffany Shelton and husband, Vince, Angel Greear and husband, Dustin, and Ashley Taylor; great-grandson, "Lil' Man"; siblings, Dennis Crawford and wife, Wanda, James Crawford & wife, Patty; and Jerry Crawford; sister, Diane Dykes and husband, Dusty; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Hamlett-Dobson Fall Branch, and at other hours at her residence.

The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Hamlett-Dobson Fall Branch with Pastor Chip McClain officiating. Special music will be provided by the Heavenly Reflections.

The graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Light Cemetery.
Those attending committal services are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 1:00 p.m. Friday and then proceed to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Dove, Penny Johnson, Jerry Mullenix, Dustin Greear, James Crawford, Tim Shipley, Cody Shipley, Denny Crawford, Ashley Taylor, and Jerry Crawford.
