Patty Fugate Hicks

Patty Fugate Hicks, 58, of Kingsport, went to be with her Heavenly Father at her home on April 11, 2018. She retired from the Sullivan County School System after 15 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ransom Ketron; grandmother, Martha Fugate; grandfather, George Fugate; grandson, Holden Hunter Hicks; and brother, Dwight Fugate

Patty is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Jackie Hicks; sons, Brandon Hicks (Amy), and Shannon Bishop (Amanda); daughter, Jamie Hicks (Anthony); grandchildren, Jaren, Ashten Hicks; Kenzie McMahan, Chelsee Bishop; and Chandler Bishop; special granddaughter, Cheyenne Bishop; special pet, Baby Girl; mother, Margie Ruth Ketron; sisters and brothers, Gabbie Necessary, Gary Trent, Kathy Crawford (Bobby), Tony Fugate, Mickey Ketron, Linda "Peanut" Prater (Matt), Buffy Rowland (Brandon), and Norma Jean (Snookie) Manis; uncle and aunts, Donnie and Carolyn Fugate, Darlene Fugate, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jo Ann Fugate, Faye and Mike Bailey, Jim and Linda Hicks, Patricia and Harold Robinette and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 pm with Rev. David Smith officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Cecil "Punkin" Necessary, Adam Fugate, Anathony McMahan, Jonathan Morelock, Doug Fugate and Chris Fugate. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaren Hicks, Ashten Hicks, Chandler Bishop, Joshua Crawford Tyler Barrett and Devon Rowland.
