Paul Franklin Bragg, 79, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Paul was born in Scott County, VA on March 3, 1931 and grew up in Greene County. He lived his adult life in Kingsport and was a graduate of Fall Branch High School and East Tennessee State University. Paul was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from Mead Corporation on September 1988 after 30 years of service. After retiring he enjoyed fishing on Douglas Lake and living part-time in Dandridge.
Paul was a member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Hazel Bragg; his brother, Jimmie Bragg; and an infant sister.
Paul is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Hayes Bragg; one daughter, Delilah Bragg of Bellingham, WA; one son, Rock Bragg and wife, Kathy of Chuckey, TN; three sisters, Drucella Cox of Fall Branch, Beulah Wheelock and husband, Nat of Kingsport, and Susie Cline and husband, Jim of Kingsport; one brother, Glenn H. Bragg and wife, Mary; several nieces and nephews; and one aunt, Lena Clark.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Seay and Rev. Richard Bowers officiating.
Graveside services will be held at East Lawn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Bragg, Jim Cline II, Brandon Bragg, Jim Culbertson, and Scott Gammons.
