Paul Wayne Eidson

Wayne Eidson, 79, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2015.

He retired from Eastman Chemical Company as the senior stock keeper of the 59C store room. He loved to fish and spend time at the flea market with his buddies. Wayne was a member of Depew's Chapel Church. He was a wonderful husband and father and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Opal Eidson.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Eidson, son: "Pooch" Eidson and wife, Connie; daughter: Beckie Carter and husband, Todd; grandchildren: Josh Eidson, Jessica Meridieth and husband, Dave and Courtney Murray and husband, Andrew; great-grandchildren: Brycen and Brynn Meridieth; brother: Gary Eidson; sisters: Brenda Lawson and Debbie Cox; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 12, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or at any time at their residence. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Depew's Chapel with graveside services to follow with Pastor Jeff Strong and Pastor Nathan Ware officiating and Rev. Paul Lane as honorary minister. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Pallbearers will be Mike Cox, Andy Eidson, Jackie Strickler, Joey Strickler, David Strickler, Tony Hubbard, Greg Wilson, Mike Lawson. Honorary pallbearers are Denver Johnson, Wendell Foulk, Scott Murray and Jim Wallen.
