Paul G. Felker, 62, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully at Wellmont Hospice House, following an illness of about two years. Born in Tacoma, WA on March 9, 1955, a son of the late Edward and Barbara Felker, he has resided in this area since 2010. He graduated from Tacoma High School in 1974. Paul attended Bates College in Tacoma, WA. He was a member of the Agape Fellowship in Baker, Oregon. Paul was a veteran of The Vietnam War, having served in the US Army. He was an owner/operator truck driver. Paul will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, dad, papaw, and friend who loved to garden, play computer games, home repairs, and a Nascar Fan (Dale Earnhardt).
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Carolyn Felker; son, Paul Felker, Jr.; three step-sons, Charles William Moore, Steven Moore, and Allen Moore; daughter, Crystal Skidmore; step-daughter, Glenda Maggard; nineteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. with Rev. Jay Mills officiating.
Burial will follow graveside services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors accorded by The American Legion, Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
