Paul Duane ?Little Man? Hickman, 30, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2007 after a brief illness.
A lifelong resident of Kingsport, he graduated from Sullivan South High School and was a certified auto body technician and welder. Paul was previously employed by The Body Shop and was currently employed by Hannah?s Helpers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Paul had previously attended Sunrise Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mack and Mable Hickman; and special aunt, Marlene Manis Dykes.
Surviving are his mother, Glenda Dykes and husband, Tim; father, Wayne Hickman and wife, Terri; special sister, Leslie Lawson and husband, Stacy; special maternal grandparents, Paul and Norma ?Snookie? Manis; special loving niece, Hannah Lawson; special loving nephew, Luke Lawson; special uncle, Mike Manis; special aunt Kim Manis; special cousin, Dillon Dykes; special cousin, Sarah Manis and her son, Ethan; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; best friends, Matt Banks, Karen Compton, and Chasity Quillen.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport or any time at the home of his mother, Glenda Dykes, 3508 Glen Alpine Road, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Kelly Dykes officiating.
Burial will follow at Depew?s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matt Banks, Mike Manis, Stacy Lawson, Mark Hunt, Macky Hickman, and Jamie Murray.
Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Lawson, Dillon Dykes, Robert Dykes, Dr. Charles Guest, D.D.S, Dr. Cheston Guest, D.D.S, and Ray Hartsock.
