Paul William Hodges Sr

Paul William Hodges Sr., of Kingsport died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at his residence with a short battle with lung cancer.

Born in Rocky Mount, VA, he had resided in Kingsport for 60 years. He had been retired for several years.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Martha Edgress Manis and Arthur Hodges; two brothers, Arthur ?Buck? Hodges and Richard Franklin Manis.


He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frances Emmaline Brummett Hodges; son, Paul William Hodges Jr., of Rogersville; Three daughters, Sarah Deanna Hodges of the home, Sandra Denise Price and husband, Chad of Church Hill, Sherry Diane Hilton and fiancé Greg Linkous of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Brandan Christopher Hilton, and fiancé Jessica Smith of Fall Branch, Tyler Michael Hilton of Kingport, Candice Brooke Hodges of Gate City, VA, Bryan Logan Price and Preston Chad Price of Church Hill; one great-grandchild, Brooklyn Abigail Hilton of Fall Branch; three sisters, Lucille Snapp and husband, Howard, of Church Hill, Christine Brooks and husband Don, of Church Hill, and Shirley Burchard of North Carolina; two brothers, Jimmy Manis and wife, Deborah Manis of Kingsport, Kenneth Manis and wife, Jane, of Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6 ? 8 p.m. Friday at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Jon Rogers officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
