Paul Jobe

Paul Jobe, 90, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday June 4, 2011 following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County, and grew up on Reservoir Rd. with his grandparents, James and Sarah Easley Boyer. He served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. He was owner/operator of Jobe Electric and a member of Walkers Fork Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack & Ollie Boyer Jobe, and a sister and brother, Ann and Tom Jobe.

Survivors include Imogene Jobe of Gray, one daughter, Sheila Jobe of Marietta, GA; two sons, Marshall Jobe of Gray, TN, and Elijah Jobe, of the home; several nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Lisa.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 pm Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Graveside services will be Wednesday June 8, 2011 at 10 am in Mountain Home National Cemetery with Rev. Gaither Townsend officiating. Military Graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 3/265.
