Paul Lane

Paul Wayne Lane, age 72, of Kingsport, Tennessee passed away at his home on March 12, 2013.

Paul was born October 29, 1940 to the late Charlie J. Lane and Maude E. Conkin Lane. He was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Jo Cox and Sheila L. Mitchell and one brother, Dewey L. Lane; and the mother of his children, Wilma Prillhart Fleck. Paul will be remembered as a faithful and caring son, husband, Dad, and Papaw.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his four children, Jeffrey B. Cheryl Lane, Michael S. Lane, Terry L. Chris Valverde, and Joseph P. Lane; seven grandchildren, Leah, Dustin, Tyler, Cheyenne, Dylan, Jacob and Dalton; three great grandchildren, Adalynn, Brooklyn, and Isaiah Nathaniel ; sister, Jean Lane Roberts; brothers, Don E. Lane, Charles J. Bonnie Lane, Jr., Thomas Wesley Ruth Lane, and Jimmy G. Shirley Jean Lane. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A special thank you is extended to the doctors and nurses at Wellmont Medical Associates Oncology and Hematology for their help in Paul's battle to live. Also, many thanks are given to special friends, J. D. Bacon and Eddie Williams, for their assistance during Paul's illness. Paul said he would miss all the many friends at Hardees Breakfast Club.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19th from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Elam officiating.

An entombment service will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
