Paul Palermo, Jr., 55, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday June 20, 2007 at his home following extended illness. He was raised in New Jersey and he and his family have lived in and maintained ties in Kingsport for the past twenty years.

He was born, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Paul Palermo, Sr. and Marie Coyle Palermo. A loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife Anne Marie of 25 years, two daughters Christina Marie and Rachael Anne, two brothers James and wife Laura, Michael and wife Karen, and several nieces and nephews.

Paul graduated from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science in 1973 when he joined Eastman Chemical Company. He was a committed employee to Eastman for 33 years where his career advanced; most notably, he opened the company?s first sales office in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Paul enjoyed traveling with his family, taking them on vacations both around the US and the world. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking and golfing and will be remembered as an incredibly supportive and caring father, husband and friend.

Friends are invited to visit from 5:30 to 7:30PM Sunday evening at St. Dominic?s Catholic Church, Kingsport. A prayer service will follow at 7:30PM. Father Charles Burton will be the celebrant for the Funeral Mass which will be held at the church Monday at 12:00 Noon.

Pallbearers will be James, Michael and Brad Palermo, Thomas Gilbert, Bob Casper and Stewart Whitzeman.
